Turkey Soup

I made this great soup from leftover Thanksgiving dinner. After making my kids eat turkey for lunch and dinner for 2 and a half days after Thanksgiving I needed something new to throw at them (and finish the little bag of turkey off for once and for all). lol!

I'm a huge soup person, partly because soup is a great thing to feed a crowd and partly because soup evokes a feeling of warmth, coziness and home.

I threw together:
About 2 cups of left over turkey
package of egg noodles -cooked and drained-
whatever chicken broth I had left in the fridge -about a cup- (not really needed)
leftover gravy -about a cup- (optional)
powdered garlic & onion
salt
parsley
cracked pepper
sage -about 3 tb-
4-6 cups water
It's not healthy but a few pats of butter really makes this rich and adds flavor if you are lacking some.

Simmer all this until the herbs soften and flavors blend. Taste. Add more salt and herbs as needed so your broth is tasty!

My family went nuts for this soup. I'm not a big fan of turkey in soup (I like chicken) but this was a hit and it was down home yummy!
